Finance Manager 2 (Financial Reporting)

A Church Controllership Financial Reporting Specialist is part of a specialized team comprised of individuals that oversee the accounting, monitoring, and reporting of the receipt and use of the sacred funds of the Church. The reporting specialist is part of the Controllership Services Division of the Finance and Records Department and reports through the Controller of the Church. The team's primary purpose is financial reporting for the ecclesiastical entities of the Church. However, the team also collaborates with investment entities, business entities, and higher education entities of the Church on a frequent basis. The Financial Reporting Team ensures the integrity of the finance records of the Church and the accuracy of financial reporting in accordance with US generally accepted accounting principles (USGAAP). The reporting team provides financial information to key business partners in the Church including the Presiding Bishopric Office and the First Presidency. The team works closely with Area and Department finance functions and provides guidance on accounting standards, procedures, and reporting requirements. The team also works closely with the Church Audit Department on annual Church audits and collaborates with Church Audit for the proper application of USGAAP.
