Finance Intern (Summer 2025)

Emerson Tool Company is seeking a driven, efficient, and organized individual with excellent communication skills to join our Finance group as an intern for Summer 2025. This position provides invaluable professional experience in a fast-paced environment. The Finance intern will support the day-to-day functions of the department, while also providing an opportunity to work on special projects and develop technical skills. This internship is located at Emerson Tool Company in Des Peres, MO.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Work across the organization and leverage cross-functional teams to provide expert analytical support  Develop and deliver influential presentations that summarize complex analyses and drive effective business decisions  Perform ad-hoc analyses to investigate price or cost trends Develop partnerships across the business and functional areas of the organization

You break down objectives into appropriate initiatives and actions. You attentively listen to others. You integrate quantitative and qualitative information to draw accurate conclusions.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Minimum of 2 years of completed coursework towards an undergraduate degree in a business discipline Basic knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts, procedures, and techniques  Proficiency with Microsoft Excel  Ability to work full-time and onsite for the duration of the internship.  Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for the role

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

General knowledge of fundamental accounting and financial concepts, procedures and analysis techniques Experience with Oracle Financial Modules, Oracle Business Intelligence and GL Wand Excellent organization and communication skill Strong ability to deal with ambiguity and constant change Candidate resides near business location. Minimum GPA of 3.2

Flexible Work Schedule – Core Hours
This role follows a core hours schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.
