Internship SummaryThe LA Darling Finance Intern will work with the LA Darling finance team to complete monthly reporting and other corporate finance projects. This position will report directly to the Controller but will have exposure to the wider LA Darling team. Interns will complete a capstone project over the summer culminating in a presentation to leadership team.
Primary Responsibilities:Participate in monthly reporting processAd-Hoc financial analysisSpecial projects at the direction of supervisorData analytics, visualizations, models that support business and departmental strategiesFinancial accounting – general ledger, working capital, capital expenditures, complianceInventory and manufacturing – costing, inventory valuation and control.Qualifications:Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldJunior3.0+ GPAConceptual understanding of basic accountingAbility to comply with deadlinesProblem solving and critical thinking skillsExcellent organizational skillsInterest in technology and process improvementProficient in Microsoft ExcelNo previous experience requiredCertain peak periods may provide opportunity for overtime. This is a paid position. Internship will run for 10 weeks from June to August. Exact dates flexible.
