Finance & Commercial Jr. Business Analyst - Europe

Our Client is global seed company that specializes in developing and producing high-quality hybrid seeds for various crops like sorghum, corn, sunflower, canola, and various vegetables, with strong presence in tropical and sub-tropical regions.

This new role is based in Romania, ideally in Bucharest and can be done in a very flexibly way : mostly remote (especially after probation time) with availability to be in the office and work with the Group CEO whenever he would require. As he is not present in Bucharest all the time we estimate a week/month needed presence in the office. 

Must have – advanced Excel, advanced data understanding and data collection skills , SAP knowledge , very good communication skills , EN of course, ideally stay in Bucharest and totally flexible to work in the office when required /vs remote in the rest

Main responsibilities:

1. Budgeting for Europe:

Analyse historical data against budget projections to identify variances or deviations. Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare and consolidate data in required formats, in coordination with the finance lead and functional heads.

2. Planning for Europe:

Develop Long Range Plans (LRP) in partnership with key stakeholders under the coordination of Head of Europe. Coordinate production planning with the sales team based on the S&OP/LRP actualized data. Conduct pricing analysis with the commercial team. Collaborate with sales and finance teams to prepare month-end and year-end estimates. Oversee inventory planning and ensure effective communication with stakeholders. Work closely with the Head of Europe to ensure all plans are aligned and implemented.

3. Data Entry in ABS (Automated Budgeting System):

Manage monthly forecast publishing and reporting. Submit annual budgets and Long Range Plans LRP in ABS format.

4. Reporting & Data Analysis:

Prepare monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and company  Leadership Team reporting decks Collect, input data and prepare slides for these meetings Adjust templates based on business needs Coordinate with the other stakeholders and ensure all data are collected and transferred into S&OP and Co presentation decks properly and accurately Coordinate with Integrated Europe Leadership Teams (ELT), review meeting minutes, and track/follow-up on action plans. Develop EU reporting decks for meetings in collaboration with the business director and stakeholders. Generate ad-hoc reports as required by EU or global offices.

5. Project Management:

Drive digital initiatives aligned with business requirements. Participate actively in strategic, high-priority projects as needed.

6. Other Responsibilities:

Take on additional tasks as assigned, ensuring alignment with existing objectives. Expertise in analyzing business performance, providing actionable insights, and creating impactful dashboards.

 

Technical Skills

Data Analysis: Proficiency in tools like Excel, Power Point, Power BI, or Qlik for analyzing and visualizing data. Ability to interpret descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics Business Intelligence (BI) Tools: Familiarity with BI platforms such as SAP Business Objects or Microsoft Power BI for creating dashboards and reports Data Visualization: Expertise in transforming raw data into actionable insights through visual representations

Soft Skills

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to present findings clearly and facilitate stakeholder meetings Ability to tell a story with data for actionable insights Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust approaches based on changing requirements or project needs

Business Acumen

Understanding core business operations such as finance, marketing, sales, and supply chain management to align solutions with organizational objectives

Collaboration and Teamwork

Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals

Education:

We are looking for professionals with strong expertise in Data Analytics to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize business operations, preferably from the Agriculture and Seeds industry.

We look for fresh graduates with some min. 1-3 years data anakyst experience, excellent Excel (advanced) Level,  good notions of finance analysis, budget and planning collection data, ability to collect data from multiples sources and to understand them, to learn business fast, ambitious, assertive,  and to have great communication skills, multiculturally proven. English very good is a must!
