Job Description

The UK&I Finance team is looking for a Technology Finance Partner to provide financial insight to support technology cost optimisation activities. You will collaborate with the Senior Finance Business Partner (SFBP) to participate in projects / workstreams designed to improve the technology cost footprint for Experian.

You will help to help develop new approaches to management information to support greater levels of management understanding of the levers affecting technology costs. This will involve working with colleagues in the EITS organisation, and other stakeholders within the Trading Business Units, co-ordinating dialogue and actions on many topics relating to the planning cycle, and the sharing of best practice across teams.

 

Responsibilities include:

Provide Technology Cost Management Information & Insight

Provide visibility of performance. Manage and execute reporting, analytics and insights on metrics to benchmark progress against targets, projects, and strategies.Develop analytics to use data and identify important insights. Challenge business managers to lead better decisions and improve results.

 

Oversee Core Processes and Controls

Ensure the integrity of any monthly management information, through performing validation of actuals, and investigation of unexpected trends or variancesPerform deep-dives on Technology cost "towers" to ensure costs are being described in the correct areas and anomalies are investigated and challenged

 

Partner with the Business to create value

Influence decisions through provision of scenarios, contingency and "real options". Target facilitation of $500k per annum of EBIT improvement.Develop business case workings to support the optimisation of capital investment and long term profit maximisation for the business

 

Contribute to Finance Function

Participate in continuous improvement activities to use opportunities for technology, standardisation and optimisation of processesSupport broader finance in responding to informational requests. Contribute to content to Operational Review or other meetings by collaborating with SFBP

QualificationsQualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a experience in multiple settings/roles, ideally gained in a technology company.Managed projects end-to-end and has experience getting results, organising and prioritising deadlines.Technical skills in accounting with an ability to research and resolve issues.Excellent skills with financial systems and business intelligence tools. Expert skills in Excel required.

 

Desirable but not essential:

Experience working with Technology Business Management (TBM) process.Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, and Tableau preferred.
