Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job:
Finance Business Partnering (FBP) at Unilever is a highly dynamic and exciting role. As a Finance Business Partner, whether focusing on a channel or category, you are responsible for partnering with the business with a CFO mindset. The role typically includes: 1) Collaborating with the business to define optimal Channel x BU strategies, 2) Leading trade term contract reviews and ensuring compliance with company control policies, 3) Managing business cases to support commercial investment decisions, 4) Monitoring and driving monthly sales performance and budget control, 5) Supporting the business with data analysis to identify opportunities for unlocking financial performance and achieving execution excellence for Unilever. The goal is always to advise, challenge, and support your business partners to deliver consistent, competitive, profitable, and responsible growth in both the short and long term.
Responsibilities
Partner with direct business partners (e.g. CBD director, CBD account champions, Channel development team) to provide advice, analyses, or business cases required to define channel strategic plans, support strategic investment decision-making, and recommend efficient financial operation management.Lead and own trade term contract reviews, gatekeeping, and counterpart tracking governance for the accounts under your responsible portfolio. Ensure compliance with control policies, protect long-term benefits, and drive investment ROI via trade term agreement mechanics and the F4G L5 concept.Manage monthly financial performance review and analyses of the channel/account under your responsible portfolio. This includes, but is not limited to, sales forecasts, TTS forecasts, actual result reviews, variance analyses, sales growth analyses, and trade stock forecasts/reviews.Lead channel profitability monitoring and assessment. Identify and recommend opportunities and plans to reduce cost-to-serve and improve profitability.Monitor and control Trade term spending and BMI sales budget. Identify saving opportunities and interventions required to land spending within the signed-off budget.Actively participate in core business meetings (e.g. MT plan, Account Co, CDF/FET meeting) by providing FBP viewpoints. Ask questions to drive discussions related to the financial agenda. Support meeting preparations as required and aligned with the CBD director and/or Account Champion.Support the Head of CD Finance in managing company strategic projects to achieve financial agendas as required and agreed in OKRs.Provide support to global/regional/local finance teams in matters relating to channel x BU performance and ad-hoc information requests as needed.Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in related fields (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Business Management, etc.).Relevant experience preferred (e.g. FMCG, Retail, Finance Partnering, Auditing, FP&A, etc.)Strong commercial acumen and logical intelligence with a solid understanding of finance and accounting.Balanced still set with attention to detail, data-driven analysis, and the ability to tell the big-picture story.Strong analytical, mathematical, and data analysis skills, including proficiency in spreadsheet modeling.Responsible and Accountable, with a high degree of caution to ensure financial accuracy.A good team player with agility, positivity, and willingness to go the extra-mile.Curiosity is a must! Proficiency in Thai is mandatory due to the local language requirements for trade term contract management and interaction with local stakeholders. Understanding of the local channel landscape, specific customer businesses and shopper market insights.
