About the role
The Finance Business Partner Analyst will report directly to ANZ Finance Director with daily interactions with executive & managing directors in the local Divisions across the ANZ business.
The role supports the ANZ Finance Director to shape decisions, exploits opportunities and delivers outcome to the business providing insight, challenge, strategic support and analysis to the business to enable them to take informed decisions and actions that drive the best financial outcomes in terms of:
Profitable growth and EBITDAData driven decision makingGreater emphasis on working capital (through client Billings & Collection)Proactive job management in collaboration with the business ownersBetter rigor through forward looking views improving transparency and predictabilityBetter budgetary management on the job cost baseKey Responsibilities:
Understanding the business, shaping and managing performance and business reporting
Financial Data Collection: Gather and organize financial data for analysis and reporting.Service Evaluation: Provide insights and recommendations on job or contract performance to improve revenue and margins.Cost Management: Champion cost control and drive a cost-conscious culture.Financial Trend Analysis: Analyse financial trends to support strategy and decision-making.KPI Monitoring: Define and drive the use of business KPIs to monitor performance and recommend actions.Risk & Profitability Insights: Highlight risks, provide profitability insights, and recommend interventions for performance variances.Monthly Performance & Forecasting: Work with the ANZ Financial Controller to understand monthly performance, develop forecasts, and present financial overviews.Delivering and supporting business strategy and leading the Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting process
Support senior leadership forming a strategic response and providing actionable insights from changing internal / external factorsWork with the business and facilitate business input into the budgeting and forecasting process - gather business input and create first drafts of budgets and forecasts and capital plansRetain ownership of salaries, bonus and commission schemes, including measurement of achievement through Workday Work with reward team to set relevant standard KPI’s for bonus and commission schemesShaping decisions, exploiting opportunities and delivering outcomes to the business
Support in strategic account management and planning Contribute to setting local market pricing strategies including rate cards, cost rates and new offerProvide input into ‘Must-Win’ Bids/ renewals for Global/ local RFP responsesParticipate in negotiations and where appropriate review commercials elements in Contracts and Master Service Agreements eg non-compete, exclusivity including cost and pricing modelling for scenarios, suppliers, commercial T & Cs based on delegated approvals (payment terms, rates, discounts, billing etc. ensuring compliance to Kantar legal and commercial policies) Participate in RFP pitches and support the negotiation strategy - including in sourcing and reviewing costs, competitive benchmarking and RFP schedulesRun preliminary rate card scenario calculations and restatementsConsult with strategic pricing supportSponsor and deliver training across the business to improve commercial acumenRole Requirements:
Good interpersonal skills Commercial mindset/ business orientation Credibility and integrity to build trust and influence Dynamic approach to riskUnderstanding the internal/ external business drivers Proven experience as a finance business partner, commercial finance or business analysis role Independent thinker with ability to manage conflicting priorities and stakeholders Strong communication skills Experience operating in a matrix business model is desirable Track record of driving change and business adoption in a fast-moving environment is advantageous Minimum 7 Years Experience, preferably in FP & A.A firm understanding of financial statements including P & L, cash flow, and balance sheets.Accounting Degree/CPA EquivalentAdept at financial modelling, with excellent Excel/PBI skills for data analysis and interpretation.Why join Kantar?
