What You'll Do
As a Finance Business Partner for designated Practice Areas (PA), you will serve as the primary lead for revenue accounting, Work in Progress (WIP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.
In this strategic role, you will act as a trusted advisor to the Partnership, working closely with senior consulting staff and Partners, to deliver actionable outcomes and advice, and drive effective financial outcomes across all project accounting matters.
This role has a broad scope, encompassing project reporting, contracting, preparing and distributing invoices, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) oversight, and various ad-hoc analyses.
Trusted Advisor: Serve as the primary point of contact to the Partnership for all project accounting matters for PA and clients, advising on contract administration, pricing, and compreheensive WIP management (including invoicing and collection).Client Reporting: Develop and dliver customized reports for clients as requested by senior stakeholders.Revenue Analysis: Perform detailed month-end and weekly revenue analyses by client, including through provisioning and closeout details.Pricing Analysis: Calculate target pricing, monitor variances, secure discount approvals within defined parameters, manage local investment budgets, and execute margin calculations with subsequent partner time allocations.Project Code Management: Oversee the weekly creation of new project codes via ClientView (our digital lead to cash solution), ensuring accurate and timely implementation. Contract Compliance: Ensure strict adherance to contracts by obtaining client acknowledgments, preparing weekly compliance reports, and conducting statistical analysis.Pipeline & Backlog Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed reports on client-specific and Practice Area pipelines, and perform backlog management reporting as required.Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with client procurement, accounts payable and commercial finance teams to obtain purchase orders, process invoices, and resolve ad-hoc commercial issues.Strategic Financial Analysis: Conduct targeted financial analyses to support strategic initiatives, identify trends and recommend improvements in financial operations.What You'll Bring
Minimum of 2-3 years post-qualification experience in finance or project accounting roles, with a demonstrated ability to deliver strategic financial insights in fast-paced environments. Degree qualified in Accounting. CA/CPA certification is strongly preferred, whether completed, in progress, or supported by equivalent work experience. Proven experience working within professional services firms or large global corporation is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in revenue accounting, Work in Progress (WIP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct comprehensive pricing analysis, revene variance assessments, and financial forecasting.
