From 12 UK sites, our team of over 1,400 people deliver unique capabilities across air, land, sea, space and cyber for military, security and commercial customers, worldwide.

L3Harris MAPPS (Bristol, Burgess Hill and Barrow-in-Furness) provides an Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) for the Royal Navy sub-surface and surface fleets, notably current Astute submarine and Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) aircraft carriers, in-build Type 26 and Type 31 frigates. This software provides integrated monitoring and control of ship propulsion, electrical functions, auxiliaries and damage control machinery and systems.

What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

Generate financial reporting packages and provide counsel to program managers on variancesBaseline development and maintenance, performance management and estimate at complete development and analysisImplement, monitor, report and analyse program budget and/or schedulePerform earned value management including implementation, maintenance, reporting and analysisOrganise cost and/or schedule date for monthly program reviewsPrepare and monitor funding plans labour and subcontract/material/ODC forecast plansComplete analyse date for monthly forecast review including orders, sales, operating income and cashPrepare ETC/EAC estimates from program staff inputParticipate in presentations and group discussions at internal and external financial / schedule meetingsEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with the organisation to maintain a positive and productive work environmentPerform other duties as required

What you’ll bring

The role of Finance Business Partner requires the following experience and skills:

Be minimum part-qualifiedHave previous experience in programme financeHold previous Finance Business Partnering experienceBe comfortable presenting to all levels within the businessHave advanced MS Office Suite skills including Excel ModellingHave a proactive approach to problem solving
