Job Description

A fantastic opportunity to join our finance team and drive meaningful change within the Rank Group. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role offers exposure to a wide range of financial control disciplines, ideal for individuals eager to learn and grow.

Main Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Financial Control & Compliance: Ensure financial processes align with statutory reporting policies and UK GAAP for Group reporting.Risk Assessment & Management: Identify and assess key business risks, ensuring controls effectively mitigate exposure within agreed levels.Control Testing & Assurance: Conduct first-line assurance work, including balance sheet and revenue detective testing, to assess control design and effectiveness.Process Improvement: Collaborate with finance teams to enhance financial controls while improving operational efficiency.Audit & Internal Controls: Develop and execute the annual Internal Audit plan, oversee risk-based audits, and ensure timely, accurate reporting to management.Issue Resolution: Work with stakeholders to address control deficiencies and ensure prompt remediation.Investigations & Ad-Hoc Audits: Conduct deep dives into identified financial risks and oversee unplanned audits when needed.

QualificationsExperience: 3+ years in Internal Audit, External Audit, Compliance, or Risk.Education: Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; ACCA/ACA (Professional Level) minimum.Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Sharp problem-solving skills with precision and multitasking ability.Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel and strong IT skills.Business Acumen: Strong financial control and risk management understanding.Communication & Influence: Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder management skills.Resilient & Agile: Thrives in fast-paced environments, handling ambiguity and tight deadlines.Self-Starter: Independent, proactive, and results-driven.
