Finance and Budget Manager, Marketing Communications
Come join our team in the role of **Finance & Budget Manager, Marketing Communications** . This role will be responsible for managing all details of the annual marketing and digital communications promotion and advertising (P&A) budget. The role oversees P&A elements for the Corteva US commercial businesses, portfolios and products including Crop Protection, Specialties, MCS and Pioneer. This position works closely with Strategic Marketing Communications leaders, Marketing Communication managers, Communications specialists, Corteva Digital team, Trade Show and Events team and other US Marketing and Marketing Communications team members. **What You'll Do:** **Annual promotion and advertising budget management** + Plan, organize and manage all elements of the annual promotion and advertising budget for Corteva US seed brands, Crop Protection and Specialties businesses. + Prepare spreadsheets with itemized details by brand, portfolio and products including budget allocations and cost centers + Track budget changes and shifts throughout the year, update tracking spreadsheets and provide timely updates and reporting to team members. + Ensure outlook numbers and monthly totals are current in SAP, documenting any shifts in activity - reductions or increases from Finance - throughout the year. **Collaborate with Corteva Finance and Accounts Payable** + Align with and ensure cost center tracking accuracy + Provide monthly forecasting and updated spend projections and reporting + Reconcile promotion and advertising spending with monthly finance reports + Submit PO invoices timely, send to AP and complete the approval process within the Espree system. + Answer questions from vendors about invoice and payment status. **Prepare and Execute Budgeting and Payment Processes** + Prepare and submit work orders, PO’s and scope of work documents for work provided by ad agency, promotional partners and other external vendors + Utilize the Ariba system to create purchase orders through guided buying working with Communications Managers, Sourcing and Procurement specialists. + Use the Espree system for creating shopping cart/POs for Pioneer, collaborating with Communication Managers, Sourcing and Procurement specialists. + Monitor routing approvals for purchase orders and help MarComm Managers troubleshoot PO invoices as needed or editing PO amounts when the need arises – utilizing both Corteva financial systems. + Assist the team with creating request for payments such as No PO forms for invoices that aren't associated with a PO. + Create new vendors, submitting proper documentation in PR2 and PD5 systems. **What You'll Need:** **Education:** Bachelor’s degree **Experience:** 5+ years of experience in the areas of: financial management, budget analysis, accounting and/or marketing, or other professional experience performing similar work with an emphasis on financial acumen and process management. **Additional knowledge, abilities and skills required by this position:** + Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis, mathematical skills, detail orientation, critical thinking and problem-solving skills + Expertise in financial software like Microsoft Excel, along with the ability to forecast and understand financial statements + Deliver on deadlines to complete important work on time + Excellent communication abilities to interact with and share key financial information with teammates and business stakeholders + Be a team player yet be able to think and work independently – see initiatives through from financial plan development to execution.
