The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with a focus on bill back invoicing and reconciliation. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the accurate processing of bill back invoices, ensuring timely reconciliations, and supporting the overall accounting functions of the organization. The position will interact with individuals across the Company, including departments such as Motion Pictures and Television, Music, Marketing, Communications, among others. This position requires organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. A strong understanding of accounting principles and ability to reconcile accounts is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare, process, and review bill back invoices in a timely and accurate manner.

Ensure proper coding of bill backs to the correct accounts and departments.

Reconcile accounts related to bill backs, including researching and resolving discrepancies.

Monitor bill back receivables and follow up on outstanding amounts.

Work with internal teams and external vendors to resolve any invoicing or reconciliation issues.

Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Maintain accurate records of all bill back transactions and related documentation.

Assist with audits by providing requested information and documentation.

Support other accounting functions as needed, including general ledger maintenance and reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent

1-2 years Accounting or Finance experience

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to integrate with and represent the culture of the company

Team player with a high level of energy, enthusiasm

Ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities

Ability to succeed in a fast paced, highly demanding, high volume, dynamic, corporate environment

Unimpeachable integrity; can be trusted to maintain confidential information

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Will take initiative; proactive in asking for more work, if needed

Location

This role will be hybrid, based out of the Los Angeles office.

Compensation:

The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $69,000 - $75,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
