Job Description Summary

               

Responsible for a variety of financial duties surrounding the planning, analysis and reporting functions. This includes periodic reporting of financial results, forecasts, the annual planning process, variance analysis, data consolidation and special projects. Presents analysis and recommendations to management. Identifies and investigates issues related to assigned projects.

Job Description

Provide analytical support and a conduit from Finance to the IT team (Global Technology Solutions).Represent GTS in Finance month-end/quarter-end close activities to ensure completion of assigned tasks, including ability to communicate key drivers, resolve risk and opportunities in a timely matter.Analyze monthly variances between actual results, current estimate, plan and prior year. Summarize results and discuss with management.Contributes to the development of the annual business/strategic plan for IT.Provide financial analysis and models for various requests needed to make profitable business decisions and maximize top and bottom-line growth.Provide technical and process recommendations for working cross-functionally to improve processes and reporting within new systems.Provide ad-hoc analytical support to the IT organization and finance teams.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required3+ years of professional experience in financial analysis and data managementIT Finance or technology-related experience preferredExperience with SAP/BW/BI/BPC or other multi-dimensional database tools is desired.

Skills:

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principlesDemonstrated ability to analyze and assimilate relevant data into key financial recommendationsKnowledge of and ability to understand and communicate IT agreements (contracts) in financial and accounting termsAbility to present complex financial data using detailed reports and charts to both internal and external audiencesDemonstrated successful interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)Strong ability to think logically and analytically, and problem-solveProficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Knowledge of SAP/BPC or other multi-dimensional database tools preferredDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects & work independently

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate’s work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $67,480.00 - $101,200.00
