Your Role at KIK
As a Filler Operator, you will operate and monitor filler and palletizer machines, ensure product quality, and report equipment issues. You’ll handle tasks like liquid filling and stacking products, repacking when needed, and assisting with palletizing in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a 1st shift position with a starting pay of $22/hour and requires overtime as needed.
What You’ll Be Doing
Monitor and document all Quality-related items (Hourly updates on production boards, Component verification to ensure correct product is produced, Bottle and label visual inspection for accurate packaging of product, verifying date code labeling correctness, Product verification, Weight checks on filled bottles)Prepare lines prior to shiftsSupport all changeover requirements of commodity product (changing caps, line clearance, assisting mechanics with changeovers).Compare line specs after line changeovers are complete.Verify batch running with Batch Maker, and which tank is being used. Make tank switches and understand & execute the valve change processRead, interpret, and confirm line schedules.Monitor bottle indexing on conveyor systems through the filling processStrong communication skills regarding machine problems and quality requirementsAbility to start and stop equipment and identify basic mechanical issues & adjust machine setups (Fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers, case erectors, palletizers)Follow all safety requirements including using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment – PPE (safety glasses, required footwear, hearing protection, hand protection, correct lifting methods, etc.)Train other members of line as assignedAll additional work tasks as assigned by supervisor.Other responsibilities as assigned.What You’ll Bring
Minimum of high school degree or equivalentAble to work scheduled overtime or shift changes when requiredPrior experience with PLC operations on liquid filling machines and palletizers is preferredMust be able to perform basic math skill setExcellent communication skillset (verbal, written, etc.) is requiredKnowledge of cross-over lines is requiredExperience with cappers, labelers, date coders, gluers, case erectors, case packers, and palletizers is strongly preferredAble to lift 40 pounds periodically throughout the manufacturing shift and meet physical requirements of position including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, reaching with both hands/arms, ability to visually inspect productMechanically inclined to perform minor machine corrections within job responsibilitiesWhat You Will Get
