Reporting to the Senior Director of Military Landing Gear, the Value Stream Leader for Fighters and Advanced Programs is responsible for leading the Integrated Project Team (IPT) through the life cycle tenets of the Collins Management System. Accountable for full lifecycle of programs, landing gear products and services from inception through completion and renewal, inclusive of pursuit and order capture, design and development, produce to delivery, service/support, and long-term strategic business plans.

As the lead of the IPT, the VSL is accountable for managing the lifecycle cost, schedule, performance, on-time delivery, quality, customer relationships, and overall customer satisfaction of the landing gear products and services. The VSL serves as the face of the organization and has accountability for the customer satisfaction and financial performance of the value stream.

What YOU will do

Establishes and oversees value stream goals and objectives to ensure alignment with the broader Military Landing Gear Business Unit and Landing Systems organizational targets and strategies.Defines strategies for the development of new business growth to increase profitability and market share for assigned customer base.Leads engineering, operational and financial objectives for the value stream to plan ahead and manage/mitigate all risks to the business and customer.Directs the IPT in execution of all functions supporting the value stream projects to meet established targets and metrics.Facilitates and drives empowerment and inclusion amongst the IPT and establishes talent development opportunities, recognizes achievements, and creates a highly-motivated IPT.Establishes strategy, operating norms, and adopts the CMS policies/procedures and cadence for a multi-functional team to ensure the assigned areas of responsibility meet business goals and objectives.Coaches and mentors’ team in the negotiation and approval of contracts and associated agreements with customers, provides guidance on cost targets and negotiation strategies with suppliers, and ensures cost management across the value stream is managed including internal supply sites to ensure P&L targets are met.Acts as the organization’s representative to interface with key internal and external stakeholders in order to present a positive image of the company.

 Education & Experience

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 18 years of relevant experience

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
