Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of Counseling invites applications for the position of Field Supervisor of School Counselors-in-training. Candidates can make their own hours and work remotely. The basic role of the Field Supervisor is to oversee trainee hours in the field and provide feedback on three formal video-recorded observations made by trainees in their school setting
Minimum Qualifications
To be a Field Supervisor, candidates must have:
1. A minimum of 3 years’ successful experience as a School Counselor in a PK-12 campus
2. Valid Texas Certification as School Counselor (other states may be accepted as needed)
3. Valid Field Supervisor Coaching Training (can be obtained from any TEA Region Center and online)
4. Experience in working with online adult learners and online video software.
Compensation for the role is $3,200 to perform 60-70 formal observations of 45 minutes, and provide feedback and documentation to the candidate and program.
