Job Summary:

Linde is seeking qualified Field Service Technicians to support our air separation plants. The Linde Field Service Technician is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation ofnitrogen producing plants. This is a challenging yet rewarding job that requires sound technical abilities in the primary on-site product lines, along with knowledge and abilities in instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems. The Field Service Technician must demonstrate initiative in handling issues and will also be on call and required to respond as needed. Occasional overnight travel is expected with this position.

Scope:

Employees in this role will solve field site issues, maintain, and operate the air separation plant, as well as have customer interaction on a variety of production plant types. The plants are located at customer sites and are typically less than an hour drive from the home location. The technician works with minimal supervision and has primary responsibility for their assigned locations. The employee develops conceptual solutions to moderately difficult, non-routine issues/problems and provides guidance on technical support for projects. Strong communication skills are required both written and verbal.

Reports To:

Typically reports to a Team Lead or Operations Supervisor.

Principal Accountabilities:

Maintain all safety, quality, and compliance activities at each plant location.Perform routine maintenance and calibrations on a variety of process equipment including centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, gas analyzers, electrical controls systems and pneumatic control valves.Manage own time to accomplish operations and maintenance tasks for assigned plants which includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving plant problems.Coordinate contractors and resources, both internal and external to Linde to support the plant activities, audits, and all administrative requirements for the plant. Maintain or improve plant efficiency.
