Field Service Technician

Location: Rapid City, SD

The Field Service Technician is responsible for responding to and resolving complex service calls, providing technical support and troubleshooting to Honeywell customers. This position will also involve additional responsibilities related to the technical delivery of small service jobs, time and work material, and preventive maintenance. The customers served will have various products installed in the HVAC, automation controls, life safety, fire, and security systems category, as well as their associated computer systems. Level 3 Technicians will be expected to coach and mentor more junior technicians. The primary goal of this role is to ensure system uptime and efficiency, with a specific focus on fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities

\n\nIndependently troubleshoot and repair complex issues\nProgram more than one system \nPerform system back-ups and install appropriate updates and patches \nRun one-off problems, scenarios, and integrations based on the needs of the customer \nProgram fire control panels\nUnderstand and apply knowledge of virtual machines, system imaging, and networking to serve the needs of the customers\nComplete required documentation for work performed or other contractual obligations\nProper use of safety personal protection equipment \nSecurity and other clearances as required by customer \n\nBENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL\n

YOU MUST HAVE\n\n2+ years of fire alarm experience OR HVAC automation experience\nField installation/service experience \nCompleted preventative maintenance on systems internally or externally \nAbility to work independently 75% of the time \nHigh School Diploma or equivalent \nValid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell \n\n
