Field Service Representative IHighlights of the job
We are hiring a Full Time Field Service Representative I working in EPCOR’s Central Division. Reporting to our Sun City office in Sun City, AZ, this individual performs field customer service duties including, reading water meters on an assigned route, recording water usage with an electronic meter reading device, inspecting meters for proper operation, reporting damage or malfunctions, making minor repairs as required, water service activation, service shut offs, setting and replacing meters, installing and/or relocating hydrant meters and investigating water and wastewater service customer complaints.
What you’d be responsible forInvestigates customer complaints such as, high meter readings, noise, leaks, water quality, odors, and low/high water pressure. Identifies customer’s concerns and takes appropriate actions to resolve them. Assists customers in locating water leaks. Inspects water meter connections for leaks and makes appropriate repairs. Installs, inspects, reads, and replaces water meters. Ensures implementation of standards, targets, policies, and plans to ensure the continuing and increasing operational efficiency and effectiveness.Contributes to effective communication by listening and providing constructive feedback; supporting the creation of an open and honest work environment; sharing knowledge and information relevant to other members of the team and colleagues across the business.Accurately enters electronic transactions into the customer information system. What’s required to be successfulA high school diploma or G.E.D. is required. Effective verbal communication skills and interpersonal/customer service skills (listening, cooperation, tact, diplomacy). Ability to read and interpret maps, prints, service orders and written instructions. Ability to use small hand tools, water pressure gauges and other metering and measuring devices. Ability to work independently with a minimum of direct supervision. Computer literacy required for completing service orders in customer information system. Ability to complete reports legibly and accurately on paper and with Microsoft Word and Excel. Solid understanding of water distribution and wastewater collection systems.Field Service Representative I requirements: 0-6 months of experience in a customer service environment. ADEQ Grade 1 Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection certifications.All candidates must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Class B driver’s license with excellent driving record.Other important facts about this job
Physical requirements are; frequent sitting and standing; frequent reaching, handling paperwork/files, and operating computer and other equipment; frequent speaking, listening, seeing; regularly lifting up to 70 pounds. This position is subject to shift work, on-call, overtime, and weekend/holiday/emergency callouts. There are periods of continuous stooping, bending, walking, shoveling and sweeping. Exposure to insects, animals, reptiles, dust, pollen, chemicals, water and sewage. Must be able to tolerate extreme heat. Must work safely and project a positive image in dress and demeanor to the public.
