**Job Title: Field Service Millwright**
**Job Description**
We are hiring for a Field Service Millwright/Pump Mechanic to service and repair pumps and rotating equipment. You will work primarily in the field reconditioning pumps based on blueprints and drawings, with some shop work when fieldwork is not available. This role involves diagnosing and repairing pumps on-site, and when necessary, pulling pumps back to the shop for more extensive repairs.
This is in the Houston TX / Gulf coast area and will not be traveling nationally.
**Must Haves**
+ 7+ years of experience as a Pump Mechanic.
+ Prior field service experience.
+ Knowledge of all types of pumps (vertical and horizontal).
+ Experience in repairing, refurbishing, overhauling, and dismantling pumps.
+ Blueprint reading skills.
+ Proficiency with scales, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
+ Experience with alignments, boring, overhauls, repairs, and assembly.
**Responsibilities**
+ Recondition pumps based on blueprints and drawings.
+ Pull and align pumps in the field.
+ Diagnose and repair pumps on-site.
+ Repair, refurbish, overhaul, and dismantle various types of pumps, including split case, overhung, horizontal, and multistage pumps.
+ Work in the field 70% of the time, visiting client sites and refineries within the Houston and Gulf Coast area.
+ Work in the shop during the first 90 days to get acclimated before field assignments.
+ Use scales, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
+ Perform laser alignment and field machining tasks.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
