Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to represent ABB as a Home Based, Field Service Engineer in the North of England on customer paper manufacturing facilities. As part of the Northern Service Team, you will help to provide 24/7 support on site for ABB QCS and DCS equipment. After initial ABB product training, you will be responsible to deliver the Service Agreement to scope; activities include Preventative and Corrective maintenance on ABB QCS/DCS equipment, configuration, calibration, modification, cleaning, adjustment. Participating in a 1 week in 3 on Call Rota you will work to develop a strong working relationship with customers across production and engineering.The work model for the role is: {remote} #LI-remoteThis role is contributing to the {Process Industries division} in {the UK}. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tProvide High level field and in house technical support, including out of hours support. •\tProvide application support and software troubleshooting to customers, on site and by remote •\tdial in.•\tAdvise clients as to maintenance procedures, evolution, site planning, operational methods, •\tprocess measurement and control. •\tPrepare and write technical reports for internal and external use. •\tPromote sales of maintenance services and equipment, including spare parts, and advise Sales •\tdepartment of possible sales leads. •\tAssists Sales and Account management with preparation of quotations. •\tCommission equipment in the field as part of the project team.•\tPrepare and present reports following site visits and in additional a monthly report for allocated •\tsites.

Qualifications for the role

\tDegree or HND in Electrical or Measurement & Control Engineering. \tClean Driving Licence (UK). \tSelf-Motivated and able to work unsupervised. \tDemonstrate excellent customer focus. \tGood networking skills. \tResults orientation.\tKnowledge of Paper Industry - desirable\tKnowledge of ABB QCS or DCS systems - desirable\tCommercial awareness - desirable
