Summary – basic function of the role We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team, specializing in Project Engineering support for bolting and PPS services, with a primary focus on projects within the Oil & Gas industry. This role will involve delivering high-quality technical support, ensuring efficient project execution, and maintaining strong customer relationships in a dynamic field environment. Job Duties and Responsibilities Ensuring projects reflect the scope at enquiry stage and adhere to the project budget and schedule. Ensuring all relevant safety objectives are observed. Accounting for engineering tasks to ensure they meet contract requirements. With the assistance of the Design Department, interpreting clients' requirements, identifying and addressing design parameters and engineering issues, and ensuring solutions are implemented in a timely manner. Ensuring all justifications for contractual variations during projects are maintained to support subsequent commercial claims. Evaluating, organizing and prioritizing work within the overall project schedule. Liaising and managing third party contractors to ensure all equipment is fit for purpose. Drafting contract administration correspondence. Ensure that project charges are correctly represented for accounting’s closing process. Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects. Reviews and monitors project progress to assure quality and adherence to requirements of contract documents. Skills and Competencies Strong organizational skills. Good team working skills. The ability to explain design ideas and plans clearly. The ability to analyze large amounts of data and assess solutions. Confident decision-making ability Excellent communication skills Project management skills The ability to work within budgets and to deadlines. A comprehensive knowledge of relevant legal regulations Patience and the ability to deal with people. Education and Experience Bachelors/associate degree in mechanical or electrical Engineering or suitable Engineering qualification with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a similar position.
