Field Service Engineer

Under remote supervision, Advanced Sterilization Products’ Field Service Engineer I is responsible for providing customer service solutions related to installation and validation of new ASP systems, planned and corrective maintenance of installed ASP systems, improving system utilization of installed systems, and supporting lifecycle management activities in assigned accounts for all products distributed or supported by Advanced Sterilization Products.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with sales and clinical education teams to deliver customer-focused business solutions that drive loyalty and sustain ASP’s install base. Perform installation, operation, preventive maintenance, and repair of ASP systems in the assigned territory. Manage all responsibilities of primary territory, including compliance and documentation requirements Partner with leadership, customers, and scheduling teams to coordinate all aspects of technical service work. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing guidance to customers, including hospital biomedical engineers. Ensure timely documentation of service activities, preventive maintenance, and equipment performance. Proactively manage inventory and complete audits to ensure proper usage of parts and tools. Participate in on-call rotations, including weekend coverage (rotating schedule).

Qualifications

Required:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience in field service, biomedical engineering, or a similar technical role Proven track record in customer service and technical problem-solving Self-motivated to achieve a high level of work performance and customer satisfaction Proficient in Office-based programs like Word and Excel; familiar with service management reporting systems Understanding of inventory management and calibrated tools Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork abilities Required travel within and beyond assigned territories, including some overnight stays Ability to lift up to 80 pounds to a height of 4 feet Operate a company vehicle; endure prolonged sitting/driving; and engage in extensive standing, bending, and stooping Occasional air travel for meetings, training, and regional service coverage as needed

Preferred:

Associate degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or related field with relevant experience 4+ years of experience in the medical device industry. Computer networking experience
