Field Service Engineer

As a Field Service Engineer at\nHoneywell, you will have the opportunity to provide technical support and\nexpertise to our customers. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and\nresolving technical issues, ensuring the successful implementation of our\nsolutions, and driving customer satisfaction. Your expertise and commitment to\nexcellence will play a crucial role in the success of our field service\noperations and the growth of our business.

You will report directly to our\nField Service Engineering Manager and work out of our Honeywell Midrand\nlocation. In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and\nsafety of our customers' operations by providing exceptional technical support in\nprojects and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide technical support and expertise for our solutions in Projects and Services agreementsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues for our customersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of our solutionsConduct training sessions for customers and mentor/ coach field service engineersStay updated with industry trends and advancements, and provide recommendations for improvementWork with the Sales team to drive additional orders and develop / capitalize on business opportunities.


YOU MUST HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited \ninstitution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, \nengineering, mathematics or Equivalent work experienceMinimum of 6 years of proven experience in field service engineering, with a focus on complex technical solutionsStrong technical knowledge and expertise in one or more of the relevant technologies below:Honeywell Experion (DCS)/ Safety Manager (ESD)/ Honeywell QCS or PMD (Pulp and Paper)/ SCADAExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAvailability to travel to customers within South Africa and Sub-Saharan AfricaAbility to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong customer focus and ability to build and maintain relationshipsStrong leadership, mentoring, negotiation and conflict management skills.Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with industry advancementsResults-oriented approach and ability to drive projects to successful completionStrong problem-solving and analytical abilitiesBroad knowledge of Honeywell products and their applications thereof.Honeywell service applications.
