To join our team as a Field Manager. The Field Manager oversees day-to-day field operations for residential and commercial weatherization services as part of utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs. This role ensures quality, safety, and compliance across all projects while leading a team of field technicians, subcontractors, and support staff to meet production goals, customer satisfaction, and utility program requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Supervision:

Direct, train, and support field staff including energy auditors, technicians, and installers.

Coordinate daily schedules, routes, and job assignments to ensure efficiency and timely completion.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching or corrective actions as needed.

Project Oversight:

Ensure weatherization measures (insulation, air sealing, duct sealing, HVAC tune-ups, etc.) are installed to program specifications, safety standards, and local codes.

Conduct job-site inspections for quality assurance and control.

Serve as the primary liaison between field teams, office staff, upper management and utility representatives.

Customer Relations:

Resolve on-site customer concerns or conflicts in a professional and service-oriented manner.

Ensure crews deliver excellent customer service and represent the organization positively.

Compliance & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of field activities, materials used, labor hours, and project notes.

Ensure adherence to all program requirements, OSHA standards, and internal protocols.

Support internal and external audits and inspections.

Inventory & Equipment Management:

Monitor tool and equipment usage, maintenance, and inventory levels.

Ensure crews are equipped with appropriate materials and PPE for each job.

Qualifications:

3+ years of field experience in weatherization, construction, or energy efficiency programs.

1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

Knowledge of building science, energy efficiency measures, and weatherization best practices.

Familiarity with utility energy efficiency programs and compliance guidelines.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

BPI (Building Performance Institute) certification a plus.

Working Conditions:

Frequent travel to job sites across the service territory.

Ability to work in crawl spaces, attics, and varying weather conditions.

After-hours or weekend work may be required.

Target Compensation:

$90,000.00

This is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work (such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes), warehouse work, or requires driving on behalf of the company. Individuals provided a conditional offer of employment for this position must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record. Applicants for driving positions must hold a valid driver's license, and individuals provided a conditional offer of employment must successfully pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.
