Job Description
An employer in Denver, CO is looking for a field geologist to join their team. This role will be 5 days onsite in Denver, with expected 4 days working in the field on sites in CO. This role will be a 6 month contract to hire role paying up to 28.00 an hour based on qualifications and experience. The primary duties of this position include a range of scientific, monitoring, and testing services for a variety of environmental projects at locations such as landfills, industrial facilities, power stations, abandoned and operating mines, and communities impacted by emerging contaminants (e.g. PFAS). This position requires a versatile professional that is eager to learn and values the opportunity for professional development through a variety of project assignments. The position will require frequent travel/field-work (50%) along the Front Range and less frequent travel to other Colorado and surrounding state areas.

Skills and Requirements
At least three years of professional experience as a hydrogeologist, geologist or closely aligned profession. Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) in one of the above fields will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Demonstrated experience drilling wells and groundwater sampling.
Demonstrated basic working skills with GIS, Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures).
Strong technical writing skills.
Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability and willingness to travel. May require field work in remote areas.
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture. OSHA HAZWOPER and MSHA training preferred.
Geology, Hydrogeology, or environmental science degree. null
