Field Engineer
JACOBS has opportunities for several Field Engineers to support our energy projects in Fargo, ND, Denver, CO, Amarillo, TX and Minneapolis, MN. The Field Engineer (FE) is responsible for assuring compliance with all specifications, standards, codes, and drawings. The FE is the liaison between the field and the Project Engineer and Design Group. This role is responsible for all field engineering activities, document control, field checks, line walkdowns, and on some projects, cost control and scheduling, supported by the appropriate staff. Responsibilities: • Verify that all project drawings and documents are maintained. • Confirm that current drawings and specifications are accurate to field-installed conditions, ensuring they have line numbers and correct identification on the drawings and in the field. • Review that field configurations are accurate to drawings and that document control is being maintained. • Oversee survey and mapping activities, if needed. • Ensure compliance with applicable specifications, drawings, and standards. • Supervise and coordinate on- and off-site third-party testing activities, if needed. • Ensure proper documentation of all construction activities that is traceable, verifiable, complete, and accurate. Here’s What You’ll Need: • 5+ years of experience in designing, testing and installing natural gas pipelines and facilities • Strong working knowledge of 49 CFR 192 • Proven ability to do walkdowns on sites confirming data from drawings and other sources Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
