Scope of Position:
The purpose of this role is to drive the incremental growth of the cell culture, bioprocess, cell and gene therapy, and drug discovery product portfolios. In this role, you will build technical credibility with customers by providing scientific and strategic support for implementation of Corning products into cell culture, bioprocess, and drug discovery workflows.
This includes areas of focus is supporting the 3D cell culture and advanced surfaces portfolio for researchers completing basic biological research and pursuing drug discovery projects. An additional area of focus is supporting vaccine, viral vector, and cell therapy process development and production customers.
You will serve as the customer’s primary technical point of contact and ensure their overall satisfaction with the products, services, and support provided by Corning and through our Asia accelerator lab Singapore. The activities are mainly for technical responses, technical seminars/workshops, and hands-on training to end users together with sales managers. You will need in-depth knowledge of bioprocess and cell therapy markets as well as technical R&D trends.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Support sales managers and business development team to find and close bioprocess, media, and advanced surface sales opportunities by providing solutions that meet/exceed financial targets. Provide on-site technical support to customers. Provide in-depth pre- and post-sales process development support of key products in the form of technical talks, on-site product demonstration/training, and process optimization. Establish and leverage technical credibility to meet customer expectation and gain commitment from customer to use Corning technology/platform. Provide continuous troubleshooting support and knowledge to customers via e-mails, phone calls, onsite visits, and workshops. Maintain close relationships with sales and marketing team to support business targets, identify trends and opportunities, and resolve technical problems that customers are facing using our products. Contribute to development of applications knowledge, experimental designs, and technical documents. Provide market insight, competitive products, and product feedback to commercial and development teams. Establish contact and develop working relationship with appropriate resources within technical societies and key accounts.Travel Requirements:

Master’s degree in a sciences discipline, preferably in biotechnology, bioengineering, or biological sciencesRequired Years and Area of Experience:
Minimum 8+ years of cell culture/Cancer Biology/3D Cell culture/Bioprocess experience. Minimum 2+ years of large-scale production and/or industry experience.Required Skills:
Ability to optimize and troubleshoot 3D cell culture/Bioprocess workflows Proven track record of developing and executing process development protocols Familiarity with adherent and suspension technology for scale up/scale out including Bioreactor Experience with Single use and close system technology Good understanding of Cancer Biology, Cell and gene Therapy market and trends. Familiarity with cGMP requirementsDesired Experience / Qualifications / Skills:
MS degree in a technical discipline, preferably in biotechnology/biological sciences (PhD preferred). Bioprocess R&D and production experience. Familiarity with Cancer biology, stem cell and/or immunotherapy workflows. Experience with vaccine and/or viral vector (AAV, Adenovirus, and/or Lentivirus) production. Experience working with CMOs and managing projects. Proficient in English.Soft Skills:
