**Job Title: Fiber Splicer** **Job Description** We are seeking both Senior and Intermediate Fiber Splicers to join our telecommunications contractor team in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in fiber splicing and troubleshooting large fiber networks. **Responsibilities** + Perform work from a single splice point to splicing and troubleshooting large fiber networks + Conduct new build and maintenance services including splicing preparation, installation, testing, and repair of fiber optic cables using various fusion splicing and testing equipment + Accurately read and interpret splicing documents, splicing engineer packets, and network plan designs in preparation for each job + Use fusion splicing equipment to splice fiber optic cables, both single and mass fusion, in indoor and outdoor environments + Follow required inspection processes and perform fiber testing using Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDR) + Repair fiber optic cables as needed or required + Document and maintain accurate splicing records and job site notes + Maintain company vehicle, inventory, and small tools **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 3 years demonstrated splicing work experience on large fiber networks + Knowledge of fusion splicing equipment + Proficiency in ribbon splicing procedures + Experience with Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDR) + Experience using Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, SharePoint, and Excel + Ability to use light source and power meters + Ability to drive between work sites **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with construction, cable, optic, telecommunication, fiber optic installation, and electrical wiring + Proficiency with hand and power tools **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive benefit package including medical plans with co-pay or HDHP options, a company-funded Health Savings Account with HDHP, Flex Spending Account (FSA) for health and dependent care, dental and vision plans, and a 401(k) with a 4% employer match eligible after 90 days.
