DESCRIPTION: As a Fiber Designer, you will be responsible for developing and designing detailed Outside Plant (OSP) system layouts. Join an employee owned company as they build out an MRE design team to support telecom and utilities.

Develop and Design Detailed OSP System Layouts, including Route Analysis, Fiber Optic Cable Placement, Pole Line and Underground Conduit Systems, and other Related InfrastructureTelecom Design and Documentation of OSP and Fiber Design, Documentation, Specifications, and Construction AdministrationPerform Field Surveys and Site Visits to Collect Data and Assess Potential Construction ChallengesCreate Detailed Drawings and Maps using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) SoftwareWork closely with Municipal Authorities and other Utility Services to obtain necessary Permits and ensure compliance with Local, State, and Federal RegulationsMonitor Project Progress, providing updates and adjustments to Designs as needed to address Field Changes and ChallengesAnalyze and select Appropriate Materials and Technologies to Optimize Network Performance and Cost-EfficiencyPartnering with Designers for Final Drawings and CalculationsResearching design solutions and Industry best practice

MUST HAVES

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering practiceHigh School DiplomaDesign experience within AutoCADDesign experience within ArcGIS (Geographic Information Systems)Fiber Splice diagram creationFiber to the HomeExperience with OH/UG Fiber placements
