The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Fiber/Cable Manager to support our government customer located in O'ahu, Hawai'i.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Provide support for the Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization Program (I3MP) and Power Projection Enablers (P2E) to include site support for facility access, escorting teams to facilities, and data calls.
+ Prepare draft requirements for telecom closets, outside cable plant, and inside wiring in support of MCA projects, Sustainment, Restorations, and Modernization projects, and local minor construction, renovation, and expansion projects.
+ Update and maintain installation telecommunications standards utilized in documents.
+ Provide designs IAW Army Enterprise Standards, the National Electric Code, National Electric Safety Code and performance work statement requirements.
+ Provide input and attend briefings for IT infrastructure-related projects, plans and construction.
+ Support plans for construction of new and removal of old lines, cables, and conduits to obtain optimum and economical utilization of communications facilities.
+ Contribute to studies conducted on existing communications system and equipment.
+ Develop rough order of magnitude estimates for replacement and maintenance costs.
+ Provide integration planning and analysis, develop detailed estimates.
+ Evaluate design plans and recommend necessary changes in infrastructure design and monitoring.
+ Conduct complex technical evaluation.
+ Analyze problems, evaluate technical issues, test, maintain, modify, and monitor existing infrastructure.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
+ Associate’s degree preferred.
+ ITIL certification within three (3) months of contract start.
+ Must have attended cable splicing and installation trainings.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Five (5) years of experience as a technician preferred.
+ Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a manager.
+ Experience performing in a DoD IT environment preferred.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
