This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters. **Job Purpose and Impact** **Job Location:** Harrisonburg , VA **Job Type:** Full Time **Shift Available:** 2nd **Compensation:** $20.34/hr **Benefits Information** + Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Insurance + Health and Wellness Incentives + Marathon Health Clinic (Employer sponsored health center) + Paid Vacation and Holidays + 401(k) with Cargill matching contributions + Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) + Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance + Employee Assistance Program (EAP) + Tuition Reimbursement/Opportunities to grow + Employee Discounts **Principal Accountabilities** • Setup similar machines with limited setup requirements • Feed materials into machine, operate and monitor short-cycle machine operation with frequent guidance and make adjustments to ensure product specifications are met • Use hand and power tools to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot basic machine issues, escalating broader machine issues • Track production and quality records both manually and electronically • Operate powered mobile equipment including forklift or pallet jack • Unload and prepare product for movement of finished product • Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures including equipment lockout-tag outs • Other duties as assigned **Required Qualifications** • Must be able to comprehend (read, write, and speak) English and communicate with others in English • Must be able to lift 50lb, climb, stoop, kneel all within a hot/cold and loud dusty environment • Must have a basic understanding of computers • Must be able to work in loud and dusty environment • Must be able for shift coverage and flexibility • Hand tool and minor mechanical experience is preferred **Preferred Qualifications** • Previous production/farm experience • Previous Cargill experience • Work history in the past 12 months **Considered candidates will receive a phone call from a (952) area code.
