Feed Mill Maintenance Technician | $22/hr. + DOE

Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM | Overtime Possible Based on Schedule and Emergency Calls

A local agronomy business in the Sioux Center, IA area is seeking a Feed Mill Maintenance Technician to join their growing team! In this role, you’ll perform daily preventative and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates smoothly and agricultural operations run efficiently.

 

Responsibilities:

Perform regular maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Log all maintenance work using a tracking system (CMMS or paper records) and follow technical manuals and work orders. Follow all safety procedures and help keep the work area clean and organized. Use and maintain tools and equipment properly to avoid damage or accidents. Work well with the team, take direction, stay calm under pressure, and assist other departments when needed.

Requirements:

Experience in shop maintenance and using hand and/or power tools preferred, with a strong understanding of basic mechanical tasks. Physically capable of performing demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, maneuvering on/off equipment, and working at various heights. Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor agricultural environment, with exposure to weather, mechanical parts, and moderate to loud noise levels; proper use of PPE required. Flexible availability, including willingness to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons to meet customer and organizational demands. Strong work ethic and professionalism, demonstrating self-motivation, dependability, calmness under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining company image and goals.

Benefits & Pay:
