Job Title: Fee for Service Therapist
Job Summary:
CASES is seeking a Fee for Service Therapist who will provide comprehensive mental health services to individuals aged 13 and above, with a focus on those involved in the legal system. This role involves conducting in-depth assessments, developing recovery-oriented treatment plans, and delivering individual and group psychotherapy services. The therapist will work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and interdisciplinary teams to address mental health issues, emotional challenges, and psychiatric disorders. Utilizing evidence-based practices, the therapist will provide crisis interventions and support services to high-risk clients, while adhering to regulatory requirements and organizational standards. Shift Hours: The position's shift schedule and budgeted hours are flexible.

Location Address: 2090 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Boulevard, New York, NY 10027. Our office is easily accessible by public transportation.
Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid - for roles that have at least 1 full day remote per week.
What you will be doing:
Manage workload using centralized scheduling that will require advance planning and coordination with supervisory and administrative staff.Conduct screening and assessment in accordance with the use of validated screening tools to screen and assess for depression, trauma, substance use, and needs associated with criminal risk.Develop recovery-oriented treatment plans and reviews in collaboration with the client, and consented stakeholders such as significant others, criminal justice personnel, primary health care provider, care coordinator, and schools.Coordinate care with CASES psychiatrists, nurse practitioner, and administrative staff. Closely coordinates with key stakeholders involved in providing services to your client may but not limited to criminal justice staff (e.g., ATI staff/probation officers).Effectively serve high risk clients to sequential screening for risk of violence, closely monitor. Use risk management protocols to appropriately manage and intervene.Utilize collaborative documentation to record treatment contacts. Utilize evidence-based approaches for treatments consistent with CASES’ organizational culture; health/mental health integration, rehabilitation and recovery, and understanding incarceration on treatment engagement.What we are looking for:
New York State LMHC/LMSW/LCSW1-3 years of experience in a clinic setting or at least two years of work experience in a licensed mental health or substance abuse program.Possess or be able to obtain the Integrated Mental Health/Addictions Treatment Training Certificate (IMHATT) within six months of employment.Demonstrated experience with diverse adults receiving mental health treatment, including delivery of treatment to individuals with serious mental illness, functional impairments and psychosocial needs.Demonstrated expertise in recovery-oriented, evidenced-based practice.Must feel comfortable with developing a group curriculum and facilitating or co-facilitating group psychotherapyMust adhere to participating in emergency phone weekly rotation for crisis services during off hoursStrong knowledge of new Article 31 regulations (Part 599) and best practices in clinic operations.Competence with electronic health records (EHR) and paperless charting.Preferred skills we are looking for but are not required:
