Job Description:

   

Works with a team to solve technical issues across a broad range of technologies (Servers, Storage, Network and SAN) providing Cloud Services solutions for customers. The SecOps Engineering role will support the team in protecting our cloud infrastructure and customer data by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions.  This role requires a deep understanding of cloud security best practices, a passion for automation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.

Schedule:

 M-F 9-5, Candidate must be flexible to work evening and weekends if requiredFlexibility to work on a monthly rotation schedule required Education and Experience Required:US Citizen, Secret Clearance RequiredCertifications RequiredDD8750 -Security Plus or higher Security Certification (CISSP, CASP, etc)One or more of the following:AWS Certified Solution ArchitectMicrosoft Certified Azure Solution ArchitectGoogle Certified Professional Cloud ArchitectOperating systems Level certifications are a plusBachelor's degree preferred or Associate degree holder (technical field) with 6- 8years working experience in related fields desired.

Responsibilities include:

Design, implement, and maintain security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, vulnerability scanners, and SOAR.Monitor security systems and logs to identify and analyze security events and incidents.Investigate and respond to security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery.Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.Collaborate with other teams (e.g., IT, development) to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the organization.Automate security tasks and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.Participate in security awareness training and promote a security-conscious culture.Contribute to the continuous improvement of our security posture.Participate in on-call rotation for security incidents.

Knowledge and Skills:

Technical Knowledge:

Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, network topologies, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS.Operating Systems: Linux/Windows administration, command-line, scripting, hardening.Security Tools: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, EDR.Cloud & Containers: Cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), container security (Docker/Kubernetes).Strong understanding of security principles, best practices, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), IDS/IPS (e.g., Snort, Suricata), endpoint security (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus, Qualys), and SOAR (e.g., Palo Alto Networks Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR).Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) are highly desirable.

Practical Skills:

Incident Response: Detection, containment, eradication, recovery, post-incident analysis.Vulnerability Management: Assessments, penetration testing, prioritization, remediation tracking.Security Hardening: OS hardening, application hardening, network device hardening, baselines.Security Monitoring: Log analysis, event correlation, threat intelligence integration.Problem-Solving: Analytical skills, troubleshooting, root cause analysis.

USD Annual Salary: $115,500.00 - $266,000.00
