The Federal Legislative Liaison will, under the direction of the Director of Federal Affairs, advocate for Americans for Prosperity's positions to break down barriers that stand in the way of people realizing their full potential.
This specific position will predominantly serve , an organization that advocates for policies that will preserve the freedom and prosperity veterans and their families so proudly fought and sacrificed to defend. The CVA legislative liaison should have knowledge of and passion for issues affecting veterans and their communities including, but not limited to, foreign policy, veterans’ health care & benefits, and budget & appropriations.
Your Responsibilities IncludeLeverage existing and develop new relationships with Federal Agencies and members of Congress to advance our prioritiesProvide ongoing liaison and resource support services to members of Congress, coalition partners, volunteers and activists regarding political activitiesMonitor, research and analyze federal legislative and regulatory trends that impact our policy initiatives. For this position we anticipate paying between $110,000 - $150,000 per year. Actual amount may be higher or lower based on various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. Employees may be eligible to participate in our benefits programs which include medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts, life insurance, AD&D, disability, retirement, paid vacation, paid parental leave and educational assistance.
