Job Description
The Federal Construction Superintendent role requires an experienced professional to oversee construction projects at a federal level. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of construction management, safety compliance, and project supervision.
ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and oversight as a Superintendent on projects similar in size and complexity.Interpret critical path schedules and construction drawings accurately.Ensure compliance with safety standards, specifically EM 385-1-1, and identify potential hazards.Coordinate with Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) and Quality Control Manager (QCM) to ensure separate individuals manage these roles.Maintain responsibility for all Superintendent duties, ensuring consistency and reliability in project management.Provide proof of qualifications if requested by the Contracting Officer to demonstrate performance capabilities.Essential SkillsMinimum of 10 years experience in construction, with at least 5 years as a Superintendent.Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 safety requirements.Proficiency in interpreting critical path schedules and construction drawings.Experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in construction management and supervision.Skills in subcontractor management and project management.Work Environment
On-site management at Kings Bay naval base, overseeing projects related to CA Erosion Control Culverts for Phases 1, 2, and 3. Work involves erosion reduction and stability enhancement near the missile haul route, in accordance with specified plans and specifications.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
