FCSD - Pricing and Revenue Management Analyst

Education:
o    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field.
o    MBA in Finance, Operations, or related discipline is preferred.
 

Experience:
o    Minimum of 5 years of experience in market analysis, revenue management, financial analysis, or operations.
o    Experience in the aftermarket parts industry, with knowledge of FCSD (Ford Customer Service Division) part distribution preferred.
o    Experience with MMP/IBIS/Vendavo systems is a plus.
o    Prior field experience in market analysis, revenue management, or financial analysis preferred.
•    Technical Skills:
o    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced data manipulation and analysis.
o    Strong internet research skills and the ability to manage large datasets efficiently.

   o    Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle competing priorities.
   o     Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on presenting data-driven insights to management.
   o    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, showing a strong desire to learn and grow in the role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Competitive Data Collection & Analysis:

Gather, analyze, and deliver competitive parts and pricing data for use in GPARTS, Market Analyzer Tool, and other ad hoc projects. Manage and execute the monthly pricing cycle plan, supporting strategy formulation, and providing insights to help revenue managers make data-driven decisions. Load pricing strategies into GPARTS and ensure seamless execution within system tools.

2. Market Intelligence Collaboration:

Work closely with the Market Intelligence team to collect, validate, and load competitive data into the appropriate systems (e.g., GPARTS, Market Analyzer Tool). Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of competitive data, offering feedback for continuous improvement in data quality and speed.

3. Data Capture & Cross-Referencing:

Aftermarket Data Capture: Cross-reference Ford parts with aftermarket distributors’ parts, based on Ford application details (make, model, year, engine combination). Provide comprehensive aftermarket data, including part numbers, product info, and pricing (list, online, and installer prices). Original Equipment Data Capture: Cross-reference Ford parts with original equipment from other manufacturers within the agreed competitor set. Deliver detailed original equipment data, including part numbers, product information, and retail/dealer pricing.

4. Post Program Analysis (PPA):

Lead Post Program Analysis (PPA) to assess the impact of pricing and product actions. Provide insights on volume growth, pricing strategy effectiveness, and future recommendations. Perform financial analysis, including volume forecasting, revenue generation, and contribution margins to compare actual performance vs. counterfactual and breakeven competition. Report and present PPA insights to management at key milestones (6M, 12M, 18M) for strategic decision-making.

5. Financial & Market Insights:

Analyze volume performance, market share, and elasticity of pricing actions. Support competitive benchmarking and help align segmentation for volume performance analysis. Provide recommendations based on financial analysis (e.g., net revenue, profit impact) to guide pricing decisions and future strategies.

6. Supporting Activities:

Support daily activities such as invoice reconciliation, supplier management, and special studies (e.g., Building Blocks, Powertrain Insights). Assist with GRM Business Systems User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Market Share Analysis, and Budget/Business Plan Analysis for North America and Europe. Contribute to ad hoc analysis and studies as needed.
