FBA Sr. Manager, Zappos Merchandising

Key job responsibilities
Marketplace Strategy:

* Lead the Marketplace team in developing forward-thinking strategies and processes that optimize sales, profitability and Brand positioning.
* Identify, prioritize and execute on new opportunities to further accelerate growth of FBA as well as drive process improvements
* Continually evaluate marketplace dynamics to assess the impact on Zappos’ business and develop process recommendations
* Implement merchandising strategies to highlight differentiated key products, promotions, and seasonal/exclusive offerings.
* Identify, implement and support strategies for High Velocity Events throughout the year
* Responsible for pitching to brands for Marketplace inclusion and creating strategy and supporting vendor relationships

* Drive the implementation of tactical Marketplace initiatives and strategy changes, addressing process and technical requirements.
* Develop education and understanding of Marketplace initiatives and levers with our Merchandising teams
* Provide inputs to the Marketplace Goals, Roadmaps and QBR’s
* Implement and guide others on Marketplace strategy within reporting and analytics and advising on health and progress towards goals
* Analyze daily/weekly/monthly performance to Plan and Guidance KPI’s, identifying drivers for wins and misses and corrective plans as needed
* Provide Monthly Program Updates to senior leadership and business partners giving progress updates towards Marketplace goals and initiatives





A day in the life
The Senior Manager, Marketplace is responsible for leading and managing Marketplace strategy. They are a merchandising, operations and analysis expert who utilizes multiple tools and resources to determine the necessary actions to maximize the Marketplace business. They are responsible for creating Marketplace strategies based on analysis and input from data in order to determine how best to position an item that will support the company goals and objectives. They build partnerships across multiple departments within the company leading by influence to develop and implement Marketplace strategies that serve the goals of the company.
