**Job Description** **General Purpose:** The dispatcher is responsible for scheduling drivers to cover all farm pickup routes and scheduled deliveries. **Duties and Responsibilities:** + Direct the daily distribution of raw milk loads to cover orders, maintain customer schedules and monitor for changes + Contact drivers with daily delivery schedules + Serve as contact for all customer changes and distressed loads. + Monitor milk movements to assure all producers remain qualified during qualifying months and between Federal Orders. Maximize diversions and transportation credits where applicable + Monitor secondary freight costs and work to minimize those costs when scheduling deliveries. Coordinate dispatching and maintain records of all loadouts + Communicate customer issues to Field Manager. Communicate driver issues to Lead Dispatcher and Location Manager *Be part of on-call rotation including periodic evenings, weekends and some holidays + The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee; but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties and skills required.
