This role is eligible for a $2000 sign-on bonus! $1000 payable after 90days and $1000 payable after 180 days 

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a Farm Hand/Animal Care Associate to join our exceptional team in Garnett, KS. Please note that farm is located in Garnett, KS4x10 Day Shift | Monday - Thursday; 6am-4:30pm | Overtime available

Pay Rate $22/hr

Responsibilities:

Feed animals daily and provide care as neededBleed sheep up to 8 hours/day at a minimum of 3 days/week for diagnostic purposesAdminister routine immunizations and treatments as directedProvide basic feed and upkeep for animals on a rotational basisPerform routine maintenance on animal care facilities and equipmentAssist with repairs of buildings, electrical, and plumbing systemsOperate farm and construction equipment and machineryReport safety hazards to the appropriate personnel

Requirements:

Educational background: Equivalent experience to a High School Diploma or GED is acceptable.Related farm or mechanical experience preferredCertification/licensure in welding, plumbing, or related field is a plusMechanical proficiency and ability to operate hand tools and equipmentAbility to lift up to 25 pounds and walk approximately up to 2 hours a day
