Responsibilities

Provides support to families with children prenatal through five years of age who have been identified by assessment as having multiple risk factors that could increase risk of possible child abuse or neglect. Families receive support services largely through home visitation prenatally and/or at the birth of their child through year five. Important aspects of service include parent education, developmental assessment, role-modeling, knowledge of and referral to community resources, advocacy, emotional support and record keeping.


Qualifications
Minimum

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work or a health-related field and one year of experience in a Human Service field with experience in child development, mental health, education or social workDemonstrated commitment to primary preventionDemonstrated ability working with familiesAbility to effectively utilize community resourcesAbility to listen in a non-judgmental manner to discuss and resolve problems, while providing emotional supportPositive role-modeling and teaching skillsAbility to exercise flexibility and patienceMust be able to utilize a team approachExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer serviceExcellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities/tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentMust possess a valid Arizona Driver's license, provide proof of automobile insurance and have reliable transportation to make home visitsBasic computer literacyAZ Fingerprint Clearance CardAHA BLS

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.  This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
