Family Support Specialist
**Overview** Coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of family centered, educational and social activities to support parents of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) infants. The schedule hasn’t been established yet and will likely be flexible, but will be 8 hour shifts in the 10a-6p range. It will need to have occasional availability on a Saturday or Sunday. Maybe once a month or so. **Responsibilities Job Description** 1. Provide information, support and direct services to families by coordinating March of Dimes program modules, education and social activities. 2. Round and meet with NICU families providing support and information 3. Help manage the NICU Parent Family Advisory Council 4. Recruit, educate and help manage parent to parent volunteers 5. Participate in the NICU Quality Improvement committee and other unit committees as requested 6.
