Family House Associate
**Job Description/Summary:** The Family House Associate is responsible for contributing to the smooth operation of the Family House and to the comfort and safety of the families by providing a home away from home under the supervision of the Manager and Board of Directors. The job duties consist of managing the main reception area and busy phones, checking families in and out, providing tours, and collaborating with the office supervisor and hospital social workers regarding problems with families. Additionally, the Family House Associate sets up meals, maintains inventory lists of supplies and donations, data entry, sets up bedrooms for incoming guests, prepares rooms for fumigation and launders blankets. The work hours vary but include weekends, weekdays, holidays, and nights. **Position Requirements:** **Minimum Education:** High School, GED or Equivalent. **Minimum Experience:** One or more years of customer service experience with excellent customer service skills. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** Experience and ability to work harmoniously with an ethnically and socioeconomically diverse community. Ability to interact with all levels of Medical Staff and public. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to promote a positive & welcoming atmosphere in the facility. Ability to follow written & verbal instructions. Ability to work well independently. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Fluency in second language (Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and/or Tagalog) is helpful but not required. **Technical Knowledge:** Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. **Physical Requirements:** Sit: up to 8 hours a day Stand/Walk: 3-6 hours Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours Lift/Push/Pull: 15 lbs. This job requires the ability to hear alarms, clients, and/or instruction. The job also requires the ability to see accurately from 20 inches to 20 feet.
