Faith In Action Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

\n

The Faith in Action Coordinator coordinates activities for Baylor Scott & White Health Faith in Action Initiatives (FIAI) program which addresses the medical and spiritual needs of communities locally and throughout the world through education, missions, redirection of resources and disaster relief.

\n

This position will service with the Faith in Action's Community Health Initiative that is based in Waco, Texas. This position will require strong administrative skills, ability to work within our medical electronic records system in pairing patients with needed community resources. Likewise, the successful applicant will possess strong customer service skills while working well within a diverse team of staff members and volunteers. A background in giving presentations to members of the community as well as internal staff would be preferable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

\n\nCoordinates Faith in Action initiatives and interfaces with employees.\nReceives, stores, inventories, and deploys various decommissioned supplies coming from materials managers at Baylor Scott & White Health hospitals and clinics.\nProvides opportunities for employees to participate in activities which enhances their own spiritual and/or emotional well-being as they serve the needs of their patients and communities and in keeping with Baylor Scott & White Health's mission.\nFacilitates relationships among interfaith caregiver groups to enhance access to programs and services provided by the program.\nParticipates in the enlistment and equipment of medical volunteers in local, state, and international venues.\nCoordinates and implements the Faith in Action communications providing content for multiple platforms to include web-based outreach, e-newsletters, visual presentations, fliers and event coverage.\n\n

\n\nKnowledge of the totality of BSWH?s FIAI program\nKnowledge of charitable giving in the USA\nProven verbal and written communication skills\nExceptional Interpersonal and listening skills\nAbility to effectively recruit volunteers to support FIAI\nAbility to receive, store, inventory, and deploy materials and supplies\nAbility to develop and give presentations\n\n
