Factory Performance Lead Americas
Job Description

 

Danfoss Business System (DBS) is looking for a Factory Performance Lead Americas, responsible for successfully driving continuous improvement journeys within one of our key subregions in Danfoss; North America. You will be responsible for ensuring DBS fundamentals (Lean tools & -processes) in place in all factories within your designated scope, across Safety, Quality, Lead time and Productivity. You will work in close collaboration with DBS Factory Performance Global Heads and Head of Regional Navigators to ensure workforce planning and adequate competency- and capacity planning to facilitate and lead Kaizens and continuously improve performance on the shop floor.

 

You will be working in a truly multicultural environment with highly qualified colleagues from all over the world.

 

You will be driving the activities on-site, with the objective to support the factory leadership to further improve Safety, Quality, Lead time and Productivity, and thereby achieve effective contribution margin improvements.

 

We operate wherever our companies, partners and customers are, and therefore it is important that you have the flexibility and willingness to travel extensively (up to 90%) in our factories in US, and occasionally also internationally.

Job Responsibilities

 

You will act as a trusted and valued partner to manufacturing and supply chain leaders to ensure optimization within quality, delivery, cost, motivation, and cash flow, along the entire value chain.

 

It will be your responsibility to encourage a culture of sustainable change by applying LEAN and SIX SIGMA methodology, creating impact across all KPI’s, delivering top class products to customers every time.

 

As part of a global network, you will search and share best practice effectively.

 

Your main responsibilities are to:

 

Be the main responsible to ensure leadership commitment, capability building within all factories in your region. Have DBS Fundamentals installed, understood, and executed in all factories in your region. Facilitate and lead weekly performance dialogues with Plant Managers. Drive resource allocation alignment with Head of Regional Navigators. Ensure key stakeholders in plant have the right DBS competencies and fundamentals in place. Execute yearly Potential Mapping and Audits of all plants in your region. Lead Kaizen workshops on shop floor within all factories in your region. Background & Skills

 

To be considered for this position, you have a relevant background in engineering, business or equivalent combined with significant hands-on experience in implementing change projects.

 

You could have plant and operational managerial experience from a production/manufacturing setting as well.
