Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Facility Senior Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to support the Missile Defense Agencies Facilities Operations and Sustainment efforts at the Redstone Arsenal.
What You'll Be Doing:
Assist the Government Project Manager to plan, program, design, execute, and document Military Construction (MILCON) and sustainment, restoration, and modernization (SRM) projects.
Coordinate facilities engineering tasks with the government customer, host installations, A&E firms, and executing agencies.
Independently review designs and calculations, procurement documents, and detailed analyses.
Develop project scope and evaluate technical proposals.
Conduct on-site project surveillance, report project status, coordinate schedules, and resolve issues.
Review and respond to requests for information (RFIs) and submittals.
Prepare project briefings in Microsoft PowerPoint and information papers in Microsoft Word.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
18 years of relevant experience with a minimum of a BS in Engineering, from an ABET accredited university, or STEM related field.
A Professional Engineer (PE) license or ME/MS degree in engineering may be substituted for 3 years of experience.
Capable of leading and executing extensive engineering support efforts for planning, design, construction, and maintenance/ sustainment of the physical and natural built environments, and the administrative and mission facilities and infrastructure of the Agency.
Comprehensive expertise in execution of facility engineering and environmental policies, studies, and analysis, and management of activities.
Capable of working independently or leading teams to solve engineering problems.
Experienced in facilities requirements development, design, construction, closeout, and configuration management.
Experience with facilities equipment installation, checkout, and commissioning.
Experienced in project/construction surveillance and reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
CONUS and OCONUS travel <25%.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
BS in Mechanical Engineering.
Professional Engineering license.
Experience with facility related control systems.
Working knowledge of Missile Defense Agency and/or DOD facility engineering, design, operations, and sustainment management.
Working knowledge of USACE/NAVFAC/DPW construction project execution, construction projects, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
Experience with facility sustainment, restoration, and modernization projects.
