The Facility Electrical Engineer will\:
As a Facility Electrical Engineer in the Electrical, Data and Controls Section in the Operations and Test Department, you will work in a team environment taking requirements from customers to analyze technical products and systems, and design, develop, implement and test solutions
Work in a team environment taking requirements from customers to analyze technical products and systems, and design, develop, implement and test solutions Perform engineering designs and evaluations for thermal vacuum space simulation testing, and support test buildup and operations including creating work authorizing documents (WADs) required Preparing engineering specifications, statements of work, and estimates for a wide range of facility related projects and presenting during engineering design reviews Troubleshoot facility systems, both old and new, and or components, instruct technicians on repair solutions and coordinate with drawing controls team for configuration details Preparing, submitting & tracking all phases of procurement, inspection, fabrication & installation into the facility and test chambers. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area. Ability to visualize and work with complex electrical systems and work with others in problem solving as part of a team. Able to interpret and modify facility process and instrumentation drawings (P&ID), schematics, instrumentation drawings, and one-line drawings. Knowledgeable and experienced in the following\: MS Office Suite, MS Project, and AutoCAD. Familiar with facility systems, controls, operations, and maintenance. Requisition Preferences\:
BS degree in electrical engineering from an accredited engineering school and three (3) years of related engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and two (2) years of related engineering experience, is desired. Familiarity with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures. Knowledge of Allan Bradley PLCs or equivalentFamiliarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
