Stantec GS is seeking a Facility Assessment Coordinator to join our facility condition assessment team. This is a great opportunity for the right individual who has limited experience and is ready to learn and expand their knowledge and abilities.
The successful candidate must have a high degree of professionalism and communication skills, be professionally presented, have excellent organizational skills with the ability to focus on multiple tasks and changing priorities and have a mature approach and confidence in dealing with a wide range of clients (both internal and external), contractors, vendors, and business partners.
This is a full-time position primarily in the field.
Your Key Responsibilities
Assist Project Managers and Field Project Manager and assessment team members with tasks associated with the inspection of facilities on military installations. Support assessment team members with as-needed logistic assistance such as providing batteries, PPE or water to allow assessors to continue with field work. Plan and present the safety topic at daily tailgate meetings using relevant topics from the project Health and Safety plan as well as local conditions and factors. Maintain the project SharePoint site to document daily safety tailgate presentations including content and attendance. Assist the Field Project Managers with maintaining the inventory and organization of field equipment and supplies, including the team first aid kits. Other duties, as assigned.Your Capabilities and Credentials
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of related experience operating in a field work support capacity. Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive and SharePoint. Proficient with the use of a tablet PC. Proficient user of Adobe Acrobat Professional. Demonstrated writing skills, along with solid verbal communication. Physically able to lift up to 50lb. Must have and maintain a valid “Real ID” driver’s license. Capable of renting and safely operating a long-bed pick-up truck to move ladders, including proper use of tie-down straps and flagging when necessary. Capable of reading and navigating using a paper map and on-line google maps. Proficient with all aspects of ladder safety and use while supporting team members who require a ladder to perform their assignments. Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The ability to work well under pressure and take initiative. A positive, proactive attitude, high-energy level, flexibility, dependability, and willingness to learn new skills and be a team player. Must be able to pass background investigations to gain access to U.S. military installations. Must have a valid passport capable of traveling internationally, as needed. Must be capable of obtaining an international driver’s license. This position requires a drug screen.Education and Experience
High School diploma. Three or more years of experience in a field work environment related to construction or buildings. This position provides career growth potential for the Facility Assessor position.Preferred Qualifications
Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related technical certifications such as journeyman electrician or mechanic or equivalent.
