Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose Provide Facility support to Operations and Engineering and all department which apply at RY1 plant Additionally, support and lead various engineering projects within our organization. Participate in and/or lead 6-Sigma DMAIC or DESGN Performance Excellence projects. Provide quick assistance to technical issues/support to direct supervisor Collaborate in the development of work orders programing, PM programming and PM improvements: documentation, training and certifications Key Responsibilities Provide HVAC engineering support for maintenance and project support. Provide electrical engineering support for maintenance and project support Troubleshoot facility equipment including: Air Handling Units, Make-up Air Units, AC units, Exhaust fans (centrifugal/DEF), return air fans, HW packaged boiler systems and piping distribution, central chilled water system and piping distribution, electrical installations, compressor processes, fire system equipment, kitchen equipment, Reverse osmosis, pump systems. Develop preventative maintenance programs for Facility infrastructure Identify Facility training needs for Maintenance Group as required. Provide energy management/reduction support. Audit, revise, and create process documentation for Facility processes Provide occasional after-hours technical support, i.e. on-call or weekend support General activities as required such as: painting process, furniture accommodation, IT support, plant aesthetics improvements, etc Flexible support to different shifts Experiences/Education - Required Mechanical, Industrial, Maintenance Technical Career 5+ years of experience in maintenance area Electrical, welding, pneumatic, extraction systems, AC, plumber, high work, forklift use (optional) Works well in a team environment, is a “self-starter” and “results oriented.” Communicates effectively in various settings to provide and present necessary information to Project, Department, and Site leaders Experiences/Education - Desired
